The natural phenomenon of the growth of lime tufa is an open-pored limestone that is deposited by CO2 absorption of moss and algae in streams. The resulting objects relate to and elude the typology of furniture. They do not specify a concrete use, nor do they pretend to carry any use at all in the classical sense. As a quotation from museum suspensions of fossils, metal connectors were designed to join the fragments of the stones together. The project consists of different consecutive works which can be perceived as a collage of our observations and the interpretations that follow them. The aim was to convey a holistic picture of the Black Forest from history to the present. This series of different glass objects represents a new interpretation of old glass vessels from the Black Forest between the 16th and 19th century in terms of their materiality and processing technology. They take reference from the Buhlbach glassworks in the northern Black Forest which is the birthplace of&nbsp; champagne bottles. The bottom of the bottle is heavily indented to ensure pressure distribution as the champagne ages. As a homage, the iconographic feature of the indented bottom of the bottle has been reproduced in various forms in an oversized manner, due to that the object can be used from both sides. The green color is based on the iron oxide contained in the soft red sandstone. It is a feature of many forest glasses and represents the creation through necessity. This stone is very common in the Black Forest, for centuries it has been ground and been used to produce glass. The red - copper colored spots in the objects are the result of incompletely melted particles of the soft red sandstone, which is due to the lower melting temperature of glass compared to the ones The project consists of different consecutive works which can be perceived together as a collage of our observations and the interpretations that follow from them. The aim is to try to convey a holistic picture of the Black Forest from history to the present. Designed as display furniture for an exhibition on the cultural heritage of the Black Forest, this collection is a reinterpretation of traditional wedging techniques from woodworking. CNC milled wooden parts such as the seat of the chair can be locked together with the legs without additional screws or glue needed. The furniture is made of silver fir. This type of tree has a long tradition in the Black Forest and, thanks to its great qualities, will also be resistant to climatic changes in the future. Carpenters in the Black Forest should once again be able to identify with the processing of their own wood and the underlying properties. The project consists of different consecutive works which can be perceived together as a collage of our observations and the interpretations that follow from them. The aim is to try to convey a holistic picture of the Black Forest from history to the present. The following Catalogue is a collection of images of artifacts from the Black Forest. It functions as an insight into the product and tool peripherals of the 17th to 19th century. What brought need and naturally served the purpose of a cause was created. Today, less&nbsp;necessity driven, we refer to this process determining starting point as pragmatism. A large part of the artifacts in the Black Forest around the 17th-19th century were created out of necessity. That is why the objects shown are also categorized according to the materials that were frequently used at the time: wood, glass, metal. The materials are based on the naturally occurring resources in the Black Forest area. Different crafts evolved from the combination of people's needs and the raw materials to which one had access. With limited resources, people have holistically used their environment and what was available to them from it. Something we can learn from today, as everything is available to us at almost any time and place. The idea behind the different objects is also reinforced by the adjacent images of detailed views. Through small interventions of the halffinished material a wall hook collection was created from T, I, H and L-profiles. Through the use of leather, sand and textile, body flatterers were created that are comfortable to interact with. When not in use, their warm and soft material properties and sculptural appearance visually blend into the living space. The weights are made of leather, filled with sand. Leather has the property of acquiring a valuable patina in con-nection with sweat, through which the user „appropriates“ the object for years. The mat is the physical center of the sport activity as such it represents the center of the scene. It marks the place of the ritual. It’s shape is derived from the area needed to perform three sun salutations - one of the most archetypical yoga exercises. From trade and craftsmanship to physical training and cultural rituals, weights have served as essential tools, embodying both practical and symbolic meanings in various contexts. The "leather weights" series is part of a wider range of objects which find their purpose in the intersection of a human-driven physical engagement and a sculptural approach. Sewn from leather offcuts and filled with sand, each weight possesses the unique quality of developing a valuable patina over time, particularly when in contact with sweat and touch. The weights serve multiple functions across three distinct phases: exertion, relaxation, and conscious presence all intertwined with the interaction through the human body. &nbsp; In training, the series embodys the mundane idea of a weight being used to exercise and to challenge the body and improve physical abilities. When the weights lie on the body, they can induce a sense of relaxation, similar to the effect of a weighted blanket. This can help reduce disquietness, promote a calming effect, and aid in muscle relaxation.
